2016 FNB JoburgArtFair Daily Update

The FNB JoburgArtFair opened to the public yesterday with the largest number of visitors to date. The Fair has hosted local and international media, artists, collectors, school groups and esteemed curators from around the world. Our TEDxJohannesburg Salon was a roaring success with special and memorable talks and performances by all 12 speakers.





Today and tomorrow at the Fair is jam packed with artist walkabouts, performances and book launches.

Saturday 10 September

13:00 Walkabout Renowned Mozambican photographer, Mário Macilau in conversation with Paula Nascimento

14:30 Walkabout Master Printer Jillian Ross presents her latest collaboration with William Kentridge.

15:00 Walkabout Ugandan artist, Sanaa Gateja.

15:30 Book signing The Joyner/Giuffrida Collection of Abstract Art is widely recognised as one of the most significant collections of modern and contemporary work by African and African Diasporan artists.

FNB JoburgArtFair is delighted to announce Dr. Zoe Whitely as the 2017 Guest Curator of Special Projects. Whitley will direct special programming for the 10th anniversary edition 7-10 September, 2017.
Announcing 2017 Featured Artist Robin Rhode
FNB JoburgArtFair is delighted to announce Robin Rhode as the 2017 Featured Artist. Rhode was born in 1976 in Cape Town and currently lives and works in Berlin.
